Home Secretary boards bus to check safety concerns among women
In order to check increasing crime graph here in capital, especially among women regarding safety concerns, Union Home Secretary RK Singh tonight boarded a bus from Moti Bagh to Chattarpur Metro station.
Mr Singh travelled as a common man and asked people especially women passengers about their security concerns.
After travelling Mr Singh told UNI he felt security for women needs to addressed by increasing police patrolling at night so that women feel safe.
Mr Singh said he was advised by Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to travel by bus, and later report to Home Minster.
Home Secretary said more concrete steps will be taken into account, and common people's advice will be addressed regarding women's safety.
