Alex Gerrard left embarrassed during security check on shopping trip

Alex Gerrard was left red-faced on Friday when she was stopped by a security guard outside a Topshop in Liverpool, while indulging in a spot of Christmas shopping.
Her footie star hubby might be one of the wealthiest sportsmen in the country, but that didn't stop the store's security from demanding to see inside her bags when the alarm sounded as she left the shop, the Daily Mail reported.
The glamorous model is used to living the high life, but she got a taste of what it's like to be like everyone else as she had to open her bags and rummage around for her receipts in front of a crowd of onlookers.
Even her friend had to empty her bags, pulling out baby clothes for the clothes store guard to inspect.
Luckily for Alex, the situation was soon resolved as the guard found a rogue security tag that had been missed from another shop and promptly let her leave.
Clearly embarrassed, the 30-year-old kept her head down as she left the store, passing by the people who had gathered to watch her excruciating ordeal.
