A mob of agitating Uttar Pradesh government employees today tried to storm into the BJP office in the state capital after vandalising its main gate during their protest against the Reservation in Promotion Bill here.
The agitators ranted anti-BJP slogans and tried to enter the party's office in a fit of rage. They were, however, intercepted by policemen.
The protestors painted greece on the entrance gate of the BJP office to oppose the stand of the senior party leaders for the Bill in Rajya Sabha.
The furious mob even scribbled derogatory remarks on vehicles of the BJP leaders and torched their party flags.
They even hurdled shoes at the residence of senior BJP leader and MP Lalji Tandon and sat on a dharna outside his residence.
Meanwhile, security has been stepped up at the BJP office and Mr Tandon's residence and PAC sleuths deployed.
