A seminar focussing on research-based journalism will be organised here on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Indore Press Club (IPC) on Friday.
"Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the function. Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma will be the chief guest. Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism (MCNUJ) Vice Chancellor BK Kuthiala will preside over the function," IPC President Praveen Khariwal told reporters here.
Madhya Pradesh Rashtriya Ekta Parishad vice-president Ramesh Sharma, Pradesh Today chief editorial director Umesh Trivedi, senior journalists KG Suresh and Girish Upadhyay and Commissioner (Public Relations) Rakesh Srivastava will be the main speakers in the first session.
Health Minister Mahendra Hardia will be the chief guest in the second session, which will focus on preparation of research in journalism.
Senior political analyst Pushpesh Pant will chair the session. Indian Express chief assistant editor Shyamlal Yadav, senior journalist Ashok Vankhede, Digi News' News Head Prakash Hindustani and MCNUJ's Reader Shrikant Singh will be the main speakers in the second session.
Navbharat Times former editor Madhusudan Anand will be the chief guest in the third session, which will focus on preparation of research in journalism. Prof Kuthiala will preside over the session.
Senior journalists Vartika Nanda, National Dunia assistant editor Anil Jain, Rashtriya Hindi Mail editor Vijay Das, Dainik Bhaskar special correspondent Vijay Mohan Tiwari and MCNUJ's Head of Department PP Singh will be the speakers in the third session.
