The fourth day of the winter session witnessed slogan raising in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly over the massive irrigation scam but the entire business was conducted before the House was adjourned for the day today.
The opposition leaders, for a change, allowed treasury benches to conduct proceedings in Question Hour without any hurdlea.
When the concerned minister, Patangrao Kadam was not available in the House for answering a query, the opposition got irritated and started sloganeering, which led to adjournment of the House.
As the House reassembled, opposition leader Eknath Khadse demanded apology from the concerned minister's party over the unavailability of their minister.
Home minister R R Patil apologised on behalf of Kadam before the House and for some time the proceedings again went on smoothly but when non-government proceedings commenced, opposition started seeking SIT probe into the irrigation scam.
The House was adjourned twice. Some questions could be discussed and entire business was transacted amidst sloganeering before the House was adjourned for the day.
