With operationalisation of a a liberalized visa regime on agenda, Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik is visiting India from Friday afternoon.
Malik's visit is scheduled from Dec 14 to 16 on the invitation of Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.
Ahead of the visit, Indian high commissioner in Pakistan, Sharat Sabharwal, met Malik in Islamabad.
They discussed bilateral issues and subjects of mutual interests, officials in Pakistan said.
According to reports, Malik could meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday.
Malik is scheduled to arrive at 2 pm and would be accompanied by his wife.
During his talks in India, the hosts would raise the issue of 26/11 trial and the role of LeT leader Hafeez Saeed in the attack.
