Chefs across the country will get to showcase their flair in food art and run shoulders with veteran chefs at the ninth annual Chef awards to be held in the Capital on December 19.
Organised by the Indian Culinary Forum, the Annual chef awards serves as a platform for chefs to perform and showcase their flair in food art and collaborate with the superiors at the international forefront, the president of the Indian Culinary Forum Chef Davinder Kumar says.
Addressing a news conference here to announce the awards, which coincide with the 25 years celebration of the Indian Culinary Forum, Mr Davinder Kumar said, "Chef Awards 2012 is a big platform provided by Indian Culinary Forum for the country's best chefs to come to the forefront and show their talent to the world. It's a very proud moment for all of us to celebrate the silver jubilee of ICF and host our annual events very successfully." The Chef Awards is hosted annually by the ICF on the occasion of international chefs day on December 19.
Present at the awards function will be prominent names from the culinary fraternity including chef Sabyasachi Gorai, Chef Manisha Bhasin, Chef Rajesh Variyath, Chef Sudhir Sibal, Chef Vivek Saagar, Chef Suman Sharma, Chef S Zacharia, Chef Manjit Gill and chef Vinod Bhatti.
Speaking about the event, Anil Bhandari, Chairman, Organizing Committee of Chef Awards, said, "we are celebrating International Chef's Day and Chef Awards since 2004 and this is the ninth year in the running. We believe chefs are not only the ambassadors of our country, but they also form an integral part of the hospitality industry."
