BJP suspends Basavaraj from party's primary membership
New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI)
The BJP today suspended Lok Sabha MP from Karnataka G S Basavaraj, considered to be a supporter of former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, from the primary membership of the party.
"G S Basavaraj has been suspended from the primary membership of the party for his anti-party activities, which include his public pronouncements against the party in general and party leaders in particulars," the BJP said in a statement here.
The action comes a day ahead of Mr Yeddyurappa launching his own political party Karnataka Janata Party tomorrow.
He had quit the BJP on November 30.
