Court cancells appointment of 6 VCs and 4 Pro VCs in Bihar

Patna High Court today cancelled the appointment of six Vice-Chancellors (VC) and four Pro Vice- Chancellors made by Bihar Governor Devannand Konwar without consulting the Bihar government.
A division bench of the court comprising Chief Justice Rekha Manhar Lal Doshit and Justice A Amanullah cancelled the appointments made by the Governor in various universities of the state.
The verdict was given by the court against a Public Interest Litigation (PIL).
