Uttar Pradesh assembly adjourned sine die
The Uttar Pradesh assembly was Wednesday adjourned sine die on the last day of the winter session after a clash between the opposition and treasury benches over the delay in announcing the support price of the sugarcane crop by the Samajwadi Party government.
Opposition legislators rushed towards the speaker's podium and raised anti-government slogans, accusing Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav of working covertly to benefit sugar mill owners.

Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey tried to pacify them but failed.

A verbal spat between the ruling and opposition benches led the speaker to adjourn the assembly sine die.
