R. P. N. Singh meets UP CM, discusses land allocation issue for various projects
Minister of State for Home Affairs R.P.N. Singh on Saturday met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and discussed various issues including land allocation by the state for various projects and construction of roads in Indo-Nepal border areas.
Talking to reporters after the meeting R P N Singh said: "We have decided to set up a regional office of the National Investigative Agency (NIA) here, in Lucknow, and for that we required land for the office. The state government has provided us land and construction is going on but till then I requested the Chief Minister to provide us a temporary administrative building and he has agreed to do so."
"We discussed the problems in allocation of land for CRPF projects in Lucknow, Rampur, Chandauli, Faizabad and some other places and waiving VAT on canteens of Central paramilitary forces in the state," said R P N Singh.
He further mentioned that the Uttar Pradesh Government has assured him that work on setting up of 640 KMs long road in the border areas at the cost of Rs 1,600 crore will be started soon.
