Jeffrey de Visscher 'sacked by club for pooping in street'
Dutch footballer Jeffrey de Visscher has reportedly been sacked by his current club for answering a call of nature on the street during a drunken night out in Emmen on November 16.
Former Aberdeen winger de Visscher was fined and was made to surrender his driving licence, after police caught him squatting beside his car in Emmen, Holland.
The 31-year-old footie ace said that a pal of his had been driving his car, but when quizzed by cops he was unable to tell them the name of his companion or where he was.
According to reports, his current club, FC Emmen, terminated his contract with effect from January 1 following the incident.
Police confirmed two weeks ago that a 31-year-old man from Almelo - De Visscher's home town - was reported to the prosecuting authorities and fined for defecating on the street.
De Visscher denied that he was the man involved in the incident or that it was the reason for his contract being terminated.
"There are stories doing the rounds, but it's utter rubbish. I had nothing to do with it," the paper quoted him as telling Voetbal International magazine.
"I was released from my contract at Emmen because there were no more chances for me," he said.
