Additional Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister and Principal Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department K K Khandelwal today released two issues of magazines namely 'Saptsindhu' and 'Katha Samay' published by Haryana Granth Academy.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Khandelwal said the first issue of Katha Samay and second issue of Saptsindhu had been released.
He said that keeping in view the importance of fiction writing, it was the dream of the academy to bring out a fiction magazine. The objective behind the publication of the magazine was to honour the fiction writers of Haryana who have contributed to Hindi literature.
He said that the new emerging writers would be given honour in this magazine and the help of senior writers would also be sought.
Dr Khandelwal said through the medium of Katha Samay, various aspects of our society had been highlighted in the stories of Dr Narender Kohli and Mr Swadesh Deepak.
Similarly, the story, 'Chakra' written by Mr Subhash Pant and 'Halwa' written by Mr Arun Pant presented the condition and struggle made by lower strata of the society.
Also, stories written by Ms Mamta Kalia, Mr Jaswinder Sharma, Mr Ramesh Batra, Mr Dharampal Sahil, Ms Anjana Anil and young writer Shailja Kaushal had been included in it, he added.
