Community based development agency Right Track recently organized a campaign on universal Child Rights Week in West Bengal.
The NGO observed the event to promote Right to Participation and Development through different programmes across the state.
The campaign aimed at promoting friendship, unity and integrity and understanding among children.
More than 10 organisations from different parts of the state observed the week (Nov 14-21) through different programmes related to child rights under the supervision of Right Track.
Different activities were organized at the organizational level like leadership trainings, sit and draw competitions and film festivals.
Film festivals were organized in 11 districts where popular children's films were screened.
Danseuse Alokananda Roy was present there as the chief guest.
General Secretary of Right Track said, "Childhood is the most valuable period of human life. It is meant to proper education and entertainment and healthy growing."
"Child rights (like Right to Education and Entertainment) have been neglected for years. For the well-being of children their right to education and entertainment should be retained according to the Indian Constitution."
