Rs 34 cr disbursed among 70,000 beneficiaries during last year

An amount of Rs 34 crore has been disbursed to 70,000 disabled persons last year by Social Welfare Department in the Kashmir valley.
Officials said here today that the amount was disbursed among the persons with disabilities in the valley.
The government has also directed that ramps should be constructed in all government buildings, in order to make them barrier free and disabled friendly.
It has been decided that all new school buildings will be made barrier free in the valley, they added.
