Saudi Arabia plans to build 17 nuclear reactors worth over USD 100 billion by 2030 to meet the country's electricity demand, Xinhua reported Wednesday.
Some of those reactors will be operational by 2020. The government also plans to tab solar energy.
The country hopes to increase its alternative energy contributions to the national power grid to 50 percent by 2032.
