Punjab approves 6 new highway projects
The Punjab government today approved six new Highway Projects in the state which would be completed with an investment of Rs 955.89 crore.
Stating this here today, PWD Minister Sharnjit Singh Dhillon said the government had approved construction of 66 km long Kapurthla-Nakodar-Phillor Highway (Rs 138.99 crore), 54 km long Manpur Head-1 to Jagroan- Raikot Highway (Rs 194.74 crore), 48 km long Manpur Head-2 to Barnala-Raikot Highway (Rs 155.15 crore), 49 km long Ndampur- Lehra Highway (Rs 163.71 crore), 73 km long Tanda-Sri Hargobindpur- Sri Amritsar Highway (Rs 158.30 crore) and 42 km length from Riayat.
He said that the work on these projects had already been started.
Mr Dhillon said that work for the four lining of 56 km Ropar-Chamkor Sahib-Neilon-Doraha Highway, 30 km long Morinda-Kurali-Siswan-Baddi Highway, 30 km long Kotakpura-Sri Muktsar Sahib and 36 km long Batala-Mehta-Beas would be commenced on April 2013 and would be completed till December 2013.
