Brazil WC hopeful accused of feeding model's body parts to rottweilers after murder
Brazil goalkeeper Bruno Fernandes de Souza, who has been tipped to play in the next World Cup, is accused of brutally murdering model Eliza Samudio and then feeding her to his rottweilers dogs in order to avoid paying for a love child, a court will hear.
According to the Daily Mirror, De Souza, who denied fathering Eliza's four-month-old son, abducted her with a gang including his wife Dayane, police will tell the trial, which starts on Tuesday.
They claim he watched as a hit man committed barbaric tortures on Eliza playing music to drown her screams before strangling her with a tie in front of her son, the paper added.
The player is said to have helped chop up the body before feeding it to his rottweilers, and the baby was later found abandoned in a slum, it said.
Flamengo FC star de Souza will tell the Belo Horizonte court he helped Eliza leave Brazil on a false passport to start a new life, and his lawyers have also denied any murder.
