Top BJP leaders will meet on Tuesday to finalise the party's strategy to corner the government for the Winter Session of Parliament that begins on November 22. The party is also expected to discuss West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee's proposal to move a no-trust motion against the UPA government.
According to reports, the meeting will take place at LK Advani's house at 11am.
On Monday, the BJP welcomed Mamata's plan to bring a no-confidence motion against the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government during the Winter Session of the Parliament beginning on Nov 22.
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Balbir Punj told media: "We have all options open. We will coordinate with every political party, which is ready to resist the anti-people policies of this government."
"We will definitely coordinate with Mamata Banerjee and we welcome her initiative," he said.
Mamata has approached the BJP to support her no-confidence motion.
However, the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) will not back Mamata.
Speaking to a private news channel, CPI-M general secretary Prakash Karat said that the motion was not going to carry through as TMC chief Mamata Banerjee simply didn't have the numbers.
He said the failure of a no-confidence motion could send the wrong signals and be seen as an endorsement of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre.
