Triplets born in US set to become world's heaviest
A woman from California has given birth to three baby boys who may set a new record for the world's heaviest triplets.
On November 8, Jason and Brittany Deen of Sacramento, California, welcomed three sons, whose combined weight of 20 pounds means they have a shot at getting into the Guinness Book of World Records, according to the Sacramento Bee
First-born Sidney came in at a whopping 7.8 pounds, and fraternal brother Elliott was close behind at 7.3. Little brother Jenson tipped the scale at 5.5 pounds, the Daily Mail reported.
The hospital recorded the birth weights and now the family has to submit the paperwork to Guinness for verification.
The current record is held by a couple in North Carolina who had triplets weighing a total of 18 pounds, 11 ounces in 2011, the Sacramento Bee reported.
