4 juvenile prisoners flee from Etawah

Four juvenile prisoners fled from the district juvenile home in Anand Nagar area of the city here today.

Police sources said the four, who had attained the age of 18 years, and were likely to be released soon as they had completed three years of jail, fled after cutting the wire nets of window.

While one of the juveniles was associated with the Dadau dacoit gang of chitrakoot, and another was a rape accused in Farrukahabad. One was a convict of Railway Act offence but the details of the fourth one is yet to be known.

A manhunt has been launched in the area to nab them.

The district police went tizzy as Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is in Saifai, his native village in the district, on the occassion of Diwali.
