Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today decided to provide warm clothes to 37 lakh poor people to protect them from the severe cold in winter.
The decision was taken at a high level meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here today.
Official sources here said 27 lakh old men and women, six lakh widows and four lakh disabled getting old age pension would be benefitted by the decision.
It would cost Rs 74 crore to the state exchequer per annum.
The decision would be implemented from December 15 next, sources said.
