Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today accepted to visit Canada between May to September, 2013 the invitation by Indian origin Canadian Senator Dr Asha Seth here.
During the meeting between Dr Seth and the Chief Minister, the Candanian senator said that her country wants doubling of the trade between the two countries. As Uttar Pradesh is one of the prominent state of India, hence without active participation of the state the trade cannot increase, Ms Seth said during her one hour long meeting with the UP CM.
The senator is a member of the Canadian delegation which is currently visiting India led by its Prime Minister Stepnen Harper.
Mr Yadav accepted the invitation and hoped that UP will also look on to strengthen its ties with Canada.
Ms Seth's originally from to Sitapur in UP. After doing MBBS from King George Medical College(KGMC), Lucknow, she moved to Toronto where she is associated with St Joseph Health Center and Hospital.
During the meeting, husband of the Senator Arun Seth and wife of the CM Dimple Yadav along with senior UP officials, were also present.
