Congress livid with Yashwant Sinha's jibe at Rahul Gandhi
Congress Party on Sunday lashed out at senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yashwant Sinha for comparing Rahul Gandhi to a horse which carries the groom to his wedding.
Speaking to reporters in Ahmedabad, Union Commerce Minister Anand Sharma said that instead of worrying about Gandhi, Sinha should deal with the inner fight in his own party.
"This is a laughable comment from him. Yashwant Sinha should worry about his own party infighting. He should rather comment on Gadkari ji and the plight of his party," Sharma said.
Meanwhile, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari said that it would be good for Sinha and for the BJP if he looked into the issues hampering his party.
"We respect Yashwant ji but he should first worry about the problems of the BJP. It would be better for him and for the BJP as well," said Tewari.
Congress MP Sandeep Dikshit said Rahul Gandhi, who had led the party to victory in the 2009 Lok Sabha polls, has established his leadership.
Sinha had earlier said that Gandhi is like a horse, which is always stuck at one place and that even though efforts are made to get him to move he doesn't. He further said that till the time he isn't ready, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh couldn't do anything.
