Minister of State in Ministry of External Affairs Preneet Kaur has said that India is committed to resolve all outstanding issues with Pakistan, through a peaceful bilateral dialogue in an environment free from violence and terror.

She informed members in reply to a question in Lok Sabha yesterday that it has also been conveyed to Pakistan that an expeditious and successful conclusion of the investigation and trial relating to those involved in the Mumbai attacks would be a major confidence building measure.

Kaur said, in the recent meeting of the Commerce Minister of India and the Commerce and Textile Industry Minister of Pakistan on January 18, 2014 in New Delhi on the sidelines of the 5th SAARC Business Leaders Conclave, both Ministers reaffirmed the commitment to expeditiously establish normal trading relations and in this context to provide Non-Discriminatory Market Access (NDMA), on a reciprocal basis.

They decided to intensify and accelerate the process of trade normalization, liberalization and facilitation and to implement the agreed measures before the end of February, 2014.
