TDP mahanadu begins
Buoyed by the recent impressive success at the hustings, the Telugu Desam Party's mahanadu, its annual conclave, began on a colourful and joyous note at Telugu Vijayam, the party office in Gandipet, near here, today.
TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the mahanadu by hoisting the party flag.
He also inaugurated the blood donation camp and pictorial exhibition depicting the birth and growth of the party.
Being held close on the heels of the party's spectacular success in the elections, the venue, tastefully decorated with yellow buntings,festoons and flags, presented a festive look and the mood among both the leaders and the cadres too was upbeat.
A colourful cultural programme comprising traditional dance and song items preceded the formal inaugural of the mahanadu.
More Than 20,000 delegates are attending the annual conclave which is expected to adopt 20 resolutions on different issues.
