Bryan Singer is due to return to helm 'X-Men

The filmmaker is returning to helm the next chapter of the mutant superhero movie, despite being hit with two sexual abuse lawsuits in recent months.

Asked whether Singer would be back, producer Kinberg told the Daily Beast "that's the plan.''

The follow-up film to current blockbuster 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' - which has made 302 million dollars at the global box-office - is set to focus primarily on the younger generation of superheroes, including Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique and James McAvoy's Professor X, and will also feature the older characters like Sir Ian McKellen's Magneto.

Kinberg said that it will focus primarily on the 'First Class' cast, but it will certainly have some of the original cast involved.

Singer strenuously denies claims he sexually abused two men when they were teenagers and Kinberg naturally refused to comment on the allegations.
