Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the divine blessings of Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala earlier during the day on the occasion of the most historic moment in his political career taking oath as the new Prime Minister of India at New Delhi.


On behalf of the Tirumala Tirupati Devsthanams (TTD) which manages the world famous, temple of Lord Venkateswara, a team of officials led by top officials like Joint Executive Officer (JEO), K Srinivasa Raju, met Narendra Modi and his new cabinet team of ministers in Gujrat Bhavan in the national capital at about 1000 hrs.

A team of Vedic scholars offered Modi and his cabinet colleagues 'Vedasirvachanam' and blessed him for a long and successful career ahead.

Later, the JEO offered the famous Tirupati laddu prasadams, holy water, Sesha (silk) cloth of Lord Venkateswara to Mr Modi and invited him to visit the Tirumala temple.

Mr Modi expressed immense pleasure in getting the blessings of the most sought after universal God before his swearing-in ceremony and assured them that he would certainly visit the Lord Venkateswara temple blessings again.

Mr Rajnath Singh, Ms Sushma Swaraj, M Venkaiah Naidu and other ministers of his cabinet were also present on the occasion.
