The ambitious week long programme, 'Subhapradham', mulled by TTD with a noble aim to enhance human values and service mindedness among the students for their self development as well for the good of the society, concluded today across the state.

This novel and unique programme which was started by TTD in 2012 keeping in view the students and young minds who are future builders of the country were given training by stalwarts and experts in the field of literature, vedic studies, scholars etc. from May 19 till 25.

Eminent scholars like Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao, Dr Samudrala Lakshmanaiah, Dr Pamidikalva Chenchusubbaiah etc. taught the students on the principles and ethics embedded in Hindu Sanatana Dharma. Over 1200 'Bodhakas'(Trainers) trained the students on various subjects including yoga, meditation, bhajans, moral values etc. During these seven days nearly 19,372 students acorss the state.

TTD has made elaborate boarding and lodging, food arrangements for the students. Girl students are provided separate accommodation in Sri Padmavathi Womens' Degree College, Sri Padmavathi Mahila Varsity and S V Oriental College while the boys are accommodated in S V Arts college in Tirupati.

The students were offered training to learn about various mythological characters who pioneered the society with their behavioural attitude and ethics including Lord Sri Rama, Sri Krishna, Bhishma, Harishchandra, importance of Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavatha epics, slokas from Bhagavatgiva, love and affection towards parents and gurus, service to humanity, national leaders including Mahatma Gandhi, Jhansi Rani, Dr BR Ambedkar, importance of festivals, culture and tradition.
