Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) India president Surendra Pal has felicitated G Satheesh Reddy, Director, Research Centre Imarat (RCI), DRDO during the Apex Forum on Geo Spatial Technologies held at Osmania University Campus, here today.

The felicitation was held in the presence of Mr P Sudhakar, CMD ECIL, Prof B L Deekshatulu, Former Director NRSC, Prof A D Sarma, Former Director NERTU, Osmania University, Dr Venugopal Rao, Group Head, Geo-Informatics, NRSC, Smt Smriti Dagur, President Elect IETE and many other Distinguished professionals.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pal, also a former distinguished scientist at ISRO, congratulated Mr Satheesh Reddy for being conferred with the Indian Science Congress Association Homi J Bhabha Memorial Award for the year 2013-14.

He said, "The IETE fraternity is proud of his immense contributions towards the development of Missile Avionics in the country and also for contributions leading to the development of Science and Technology in the country specifically in the realm of Electronics and Communication Engineering."

The IETE Prof K K Nair 11th Memorial Endowment Lecture was also delivered by Mr Satheesh Reddy on the topic 'Trends in Missile Avionics'.

Mr K Subbi Reddy, Chairman, IETE Hyderabad Centre congratulated him for delivering the Memorial Lecture.

Mr Satheesh is a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTU, Anantapur and holds an MS (ECE) from JNTU, Hyderabad is also a Fellow of IETE and for his contributions to the Aerospace Engineering in the country, very recently inducted as Fellow of the Aeronautical Society of India.

The renowned Avionics Scientist also holds the distinction of Full Academy Member Diploma of the Academy of Navigation and Motion Control, Russia.

He is a Fellow and Associate Fellow of many leading National and International professional bodies/scientific societies.
