About Rs 11.28 crore expended on 34 school buildings in north Kashmir
An amount of about 11.28 crore were incurred on the execution of 34 school buildings in the frontier district of Kupwara in north Kashmir during last fiscal.
Officials said the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara convened officers and engineers meeting to review the progress achieved under the Education sector in respect of Elementary, Secondary Education, State Sector, Earthquake damages school buildings and RMSA scheme here today.
The meeting was informed that Rs 1127.91 lakhs were incurred on the execution of 34 school buildings in the district during the last fiscal.
It was also given out that under Elementary Education, Rs 78.55 lakh were utilised on completion of 11 school buildings, under Secondary Education besides 13 school buildings were completed at an expenditure of Rs 54.05 lakh.
While under State Sector 2 School buildings were completed at an expenditure of Rs 158.97 lakh and 3 School buildings which were damaged due to earthquake in Karnah were completed at a cost of Rs 71.94 lakh.
It was further given out that under RMSA, 39 school buildings were taken up in which 5 school buildings were completed at an expenditure of Rs 764.85 lakhs during the same period.
