CPM Polit Bureau member and All India Kisan Sabha president S Ramachandran Pillai today said with Narendra Modi ruling the roost at Centre, the economic policies of the nation would further turn in right direction.

He was speaking after inaugurating the delegates meeting of the 51st State conference of Non-Gazetted officers' (NGO) union here.

Modi in association with Corporate India, cashed in on the anti-incumbency wave and anger of the public against wrong doings of the Congress-led UPA government, he said.

'With Corporates wresting its control in the financial sector, more burden will be imposed up on the public and exploitation will get stronger. The democratic rights of the civilians will be pre-emptied,' he claimed.

He said corruption had spread its wings into an alarming level during the decade long administration of the UPA government.

He added that the NDA capitalised on the majority communalism in its efforts to influence the various spectrum of the people to gain power at the Centre.

He also called up on the people, who believe in democracy to unite and to protect the secularism and democratic rights.
