JSS University has signed an MoU with The Namibia Students Financial Assistance (NSFA) Fund, Namibia.

The delegation consisting of Mrs Hilya Nghiwete, Chief Executive Officer, NSFA Fund, Namibia, Ms. Elizabeth Vanhees, Ms Anna Haihambo, Mr Johanna Gaeseb, visited JSS University and held discussions on the broad areas of mutual interest including student admission, student and faculty exchange, research projects and providing support to the Government of Namibia in entrepreneurship development and human resource development.

During the year 2013-14, with the support of NSFA Fund, students from Namibia were placed at JSS University and have been pursuing courses in Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences. Seeing the level of student satisfaction and the teaching and learning processes, which suited the needs of Namibia, JSS University and NSFA Fund have agreed to take this initial relationship further by placing/admitting more students during the academic year 2014-15 at JSS University.

The Government of Namibia has made a special drive to strengthen its health care initiative and has proposed to have a large pool of skilled and specialised health work force by the year 2030 to become self sufficient.

B N Betkerur, Secretary to Chancellor, Dr B Suresh, Vice Chancellor, JSS University, Dr B Manjunatha, Registrar, Dr P A Kushalappa, Director (Academic) were present during the signing of the MoU.
