The Indo-US Superspeciality Hospital, Ameerpet here has acquired an IVUS technology which is one of the recent advances in angioplasty.


"This technology is useful for studying the blocks in the coronary arteries and to see whether the stent is properly implanted or not. If there is any inadequate stent deployment, the stent can be further deployed by using high pressure dilatation," Hospital Chief Cardiologist Dr K Sarat Chandra, Consultant Cardiologist Dr Pankaj Jariwala and Dr B Venkatesh said in a release today.

They said this techonology will allow patients to get ideal treatment during angioplasty.

Hospital Chairman Prof D Prasada Rao congratulated the cardiology team on acquiring the new technology of IVUS.
