34 holes detected on Kozhikode-Shornur railway track detected
Averting a grave sabotage attempt by miscreants, the Railway Protect Force (RPF) the local police today detected more than 30 holes on Kozhikode-Shornur Railway line at Kandaithode near Farook in Kozhikode district of Kerala today.
Police said 5 metre width and eqully deep 20 holes on right side track and 14 at left track were detected by the RPF and the police following information by contract labourers this morning.
Suspecting involvement of certain miscreants behind the act, they said the holes were apparently made by drilling machine. Police and RPF teams led by City Police Commissioner A V George and Sub Inspector Anil Kumar visited the site to take stock of the situation.
Stating cases have also been registered by both the teams, they said detailed investigation was on.
