Gruelling summer heat scorches Andhra Pradesh
With Bapatla, Rentachintala and Nalgonda sizzling at 45 deg C, gruelling summer heat battered Andhra Pradesh with no respite in sight.
Heat wave conditions, the Met said, would prevail in the districts of Vishakapatnam, Krishna and Guntu of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Chittoor of Rayalaseema and the district of Nalgonda of Telangana for next three days. The depression over East central bay of Bengal moved southwest wards and weakened into a well marked low pressure area over central bay of Bengal at 0830 hrs, the MET office here stated.
Rain or thundershowers may occur at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema and mainly dry weather would prevail over Telangana during next 48 hours.
Outlook for subsequent four days indicated that there would be no large change. For next 48 hours, sky condition over Hyderabad and neighbourhood would be partly cloudy.
Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 42 and 28 degrees C.
Observations recorded till 0830 hrs today indicated that rain occurred at isolated places over Coastal AP. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema and Telangana, a bulletin said. Heat wave conditions prevailed in the districts of Vishakapatnam, Krishna and Guntur of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and in the district of Nalgonda of Telangana and in the district of Chittoor of Rayalaseema On Thursday, the maximum temperatures appreciably rose at many places over Telangana, appreciably rose at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and rose at one or two places over Rayalaseema.
They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana and Rayalaseema.
