In the aftermath of the shocking defeat from opposition BJP in the state Chief Minsiter Virbhadra Singh today indicated that BJP stalwart Shanta Kumar would be given cabinet berth in Narendra Modi's government.

Six-time Chief Minister, who returned home after meeting AICC president Sonia Gandhi turned down table of his defeat on HPCC giving excuse of the Modi wave.

"Mr Shanta Kumar is an experienced politician and have always been humble in poltics in the history of state and this

was the reason to take such a stand in his favour" Mr Singh said.

Mr Singh took this stand here today and also issued a press release thereafter as there are speculation that Mr Anurag Thakur, son of Prem Kumar Shumal former HP CM, would get cabinet berth in the new government. Mr Singh was in favour of Mr Kumar to be get the cabinet berth, he added.
