Andhra Pradesh Journalist Union (APJU) congratulated Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababau Naidu for registering a landslide victory and becoming the first Chief Minister of residuary Andhra Pradesh state.


In a statement here today, APJU general secretary Ch Purnachandra Rao said Mr Naidu was a capable leader and he could develop the state. He said that people of the state voted the TDP for power, keeping confidence on Mr Naidu.

The journalist union leader hoped that the former Chief Minister would put the derailed administration into right track and strive hard for the development of the region.

Mr Rao appealed Mr Naidu to approve the health insurance scheme of journalists.

He also appealed him to sanction pension scheme for the retired journalists on the lines of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Mr Rao informed that the APJU is celebrating silver jubilee year and would invite Mr Naidu for the programme, to be held either in Vijayawada or Vishakhapatnam.
