Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) will become the first Chief Minister of India's 29th state, Telangana, on June 2.

Mr Rao will take the oath as the first Telangana Chief Minister between 1255 hrs and 1300 hrs at Raj Bhavan, according to party sources.

Many people will attend the swearing-in ceremony where at least six cabinet Ministers will also take oath along with him.

The party leadership might give the post of Deputy Chief Minister to Mahmood Ali, an MLC from Hyderabad, to develop the party in the city, the sources said.
