A Massive Ticket Checking Drive was conducted on Ticketless Travellers on May 19, 2014, at Bapatala Railway Station under the supervision of N V Satyanarayana, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Vijayawada Division on Ticketless travellers covering all Passenger and Express trains, passing through the sections in the Division.

A railway press release here today said that as a result of these checks, 405 cases of Passengers travelling without Tickets and carrying un-booked luggage were detected and an amount of Rs 2,05,660 was realized. The Services of 41 Ticket Checking Squads, In-charge Supervisors, RPF and GRP personnel were utilized for the purpose.

The railway officials also conducted cleanliness drive all over the Division. During the month up to May 19, 2014, 924 cases of littering in the Railway premises were detected and an amount of Rs 1,85,800 was realized from the offenders.
