Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today ruled out any further changes in his cabinet in near future, stressing that his focus was now on other things, specially the successful conduct of the ''Char Dham and other pilgrimages.''

Responding to media queries at a press conference here today about the removal of cabinet minister and wife of BJP leader Satpal Maharaj,Amrita Rawat, the chief minister kept mum about the ''provocation to swiftly remove her, stressing that he had excercised his constitutional right solely on his own discretion.''

Cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat, who lost the Lok Sabha election from former Congress MP Satpal Maharajs Paurie seat, has strongly demanded Ms Rawats ouster from the cabinet.

He said with her husband crossing over to BJP, Ms Rawat was ill at ease in executing her duties. Also, her being privy to various internal decisions of the party as cabinet member was not a good thing as her husband and son were openly against Congress.

However, the Chief Minister today asserted that he was under no pressure from any quarters to remove Ms Rawat.

On being asked whether any more heads would roll in the cabinet, Mr Rawat said no more changes were planned in the cabinet in near future.
