Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) has decided to abolish the zonal coordinator system and instead would now strengthen Lok Sabha wise coordinators to prepare a large group of party cadres.

The decision to abolish the zonal coordinator system was taken by the party, a sources in the party said here today.

All the six present zonal coordinators of the party were already sacked yesterday.

Earlier after the Lok Sabha polls debate, BSP supremo Mayawati had announced that she would now go for making party cadres from other communities like backwards, Muslims and even from upper caste, taking a lesson from this elections,in which the party could not win a single seat though getting a vote-share of 19.6 per cent.

Dalits were the base vote of the BSP and presently most of the cadre are dalits, Ms Mayawati had said while disclosing that now other castes and communities including religious minorities, backwards and upper castes would be made the party cadres.

Sources said the zonal coordinators were of dalit community which created hurdles in connecting the people from other communities.

"Now BSP will appoint 80 coordinators, one in each of the Lok Sabha constituency and they would be selected from all the castes and communities, spreading the party's ideology of sarv samaj," the sources maintained.
