Body of a three-year-old boy, who went missing in the downtown Srinagar on May 6, was fished out from Wullar lake in north Kashmir today.

Faheem Asghar Lone went missing near his Nowpora, Khanyar, area in the down town Srinagar on May 6. However, his chappel was recovered from the bank of a nearby canal.

Srinagar police called in the services of River police in the canal and Babedemb to trace the boy. River police also pressed into service motor boats in the search operation but could not found Faheem.

A number of search teams were constituted who are checking the hotels and the tenents in and around Srinagar to trace the missing boy.

Official sources said the body of Faheem was fished out from the Wullar Lake at Leharwalpora, 60 kms from here.

The exact cause of his death was not known, they said, adding a team has been rushed to Leharwalpora to bring the body here.
