Guv, CM express grief over Ramban accident
Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today expressed grief over the loss of 17 lives in a road accident at Digdol on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
The Governor has conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of all those who have been injured in this ghastly accident.
A spokesperson for the Raj Bhavan also noted the Governor's regret that all the authorities concerned with traffic management had still not effectively enforced the strict measures required to reduce the recurring fatal road accidents.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister conveyed his solidarity and sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls. He also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
The Chief Minister directed the health authorities concerned and district administration to provide all possible medical treatment and help to the injured.
Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra and Speaker Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul have expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic road accident.
In their separate condolence messages, they have expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. They also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
