Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, who equaled Jyoti Basu's fifth term in office consecutively, will take fresh oath of the office at a ceremony here tomorrow.

The 63-year-old leader, who spearheaded the ouster of then chief minister and leader of Sikkim Sangram Parishad Nar Bahadur Bhadari in 1993 and emerged victorious with his Sikkim Democratic Front in 1994, will take on oath of the office and secrecy with his council of ministers at a swearing-in ceremony at 1015 hrs at Ashirwad Bhawan, Raj Bhawan, Gangtok, tomorrow.

Mr Chamling's SDF secured 22 seats and the rest ten went to newly formed Sikkim Krantikari Morcha in the 32-member Assembly.

For the first time in five years, the assembly will witness the presence of the opposition members. In 2009 election, SDF won all 32 seats.

Earlier, all the 22 MLAs of SDF unanimously decided to elect Mr Chamling as the leader.

'We will form the government on Wednesday,' SDF vice-president K B Chamling said.
