AAP denies party MLAs in favour of forming Govt in Delhi
Aam Aadmi Party today refuted reports that a section of party MLAs were in favour of forming a Government in Delhi. "Its an absolute lie that AAP MLAs are pressuring Arvind Kejriwal for forming govt at Delhi,"former Delhi Minister and AAP leader Somnath Bharti said on Twitter. AAP leader Manish Sisodia also denied that AAP was in favour of forming a Government in Delhi.
Reports said a section of AAP MLAs were for the party trying to form a government in Delhi with Congress' support.
The clarification by AAP leaders came even as Delhi BJP leader Dr Harsh Vardhan termed AAP's reported move to take support of the Congress to form government in the national capital as 'unethical';.
'There is nothing more unethical that AAP is thinking of forming a government in Delhi with the support of rejected Congress,';Dr Harshvardhan told a TV channel. The BJP has called for fresh Assembly elections in Delhi and said they are ready for fresh polls in the state. In the 70 member state assembly, AAP has 27 seats while the Congress has eight and the BJP has 31 seats.
After the assembly poll, AAP former the Government with Congress support. However, the Government lasted just 49 days with Arvind Kejriwal resigning as CM over his Government's failure to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill in Delhi Assembly.
