Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. They may occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala.


They could also occur at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur,Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, south Chhattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gujarat, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Chhattisgarh and Gujarat. Heat wave conditions prevailed in Gangetic West Bengal, parts of Odisha and Bihar.

Day temperatures were markedly above normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and in remaining parts of Bihar. They were appreciably above normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, parts of Assam and Meghalaya, and in remaining parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha. They were above normal in some parts of Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala. They were markedly below normal in some parts of west Rajasthan.

They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, parts of Haryana and west Madhya Pradesh,and in remaining parts of west Rajasthan.

They were below normal in some parts west Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Maharashtra, and in remaining parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Madhya Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 44.5 degree Celsius has been recorded at Titlagarh (Odisha) in the plains of the country.
