BJP's Parliamentary Board hails verdict given by people in LS polls
The BJP Parliamentary Board today adopted a resolution hailing the verdict given by the people of country in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls and also expressed its deep sense of appreciation to the tireless effort and leadership provided by party leader Narendra Modi in this polling campaign.
"The BJP Parliamentary Board hails the verdict given by the people of India in the General Election 2014," a resolution of the BJP Parliamentary Party Board said.
"The people of India have spoken and spoken decisively. For the first time since Independence a non-Congress political party has got a majority on its' own.
"The NDA has got an overwhelming mandate to govern. India needs a government which is effectively led, and which can put the country's economy on a growth track, make it secure and provide a government in accordance with the highest standard of probity.
"The Parliamentary Board thanks the people of India for reposing faith in the BJP.
"The Board expresses its deep sense of appreciation for all its workers and leaders who put in a Herculean effort to ensure this win.
"The BJP Parliamentary Board records its deep sense of appreciation to the tireless effort and leadership provided by Mr Narendra Modi in this campaign.
"It was this inspirational and visionary leadership which caught the imagination of the people of India and they reposed faith in it," the resolution added.
The BJP Parliamentary Board, the highest decision-making body of the party, held its first meeting at the party headquarters in the national capital after the announcement of the Lok Sabha election results in which the party was led to landslide victory under the leadership of prime minister-elect Narendra Modi.
The meeting was attended by Mr Modi who arrived here today amid victory celebrations. UNI
