'Searching For Sugar Man' director Malik Bendjelloul may have killed himself, says brother
Oscar-winning Swedish director Malik Bendjelloul took his own life, according to his brother.
The body of the 36-year-old, best known for the documentary 'Searching For Sugar Man', was found in the Stockholm area on Tuesday, the BBC reported.
Johar Bendjelloul told Aftonbladet newspaper that he can confirm that it was suicide and that he has been depressed for a short period of time.
'Searching for Sugar Man' won the Oscar for best documentary in 2013.
The low-budget film told the story of two South Africans searching for their music hero, 1970s American singer Sixto Rodriguez.
