Retired Additional Director General of Himachal Pradesh Police I D Bhandari today accused Himachal Pradesh Virbhadra Singh Government for indulging in rampant corruption and alleged that he was being made scapegoat by some officials and aides of Mr Singh despite holding "impeccable record through out service in police department".


Brushing aside media reports, the IPS officer said he never indulged in any unlawful telephone interception, snooping and bugging as he was being blamed in the reports being published on behalf of government functionary.

Terming Mr Virbhadra Singh's government as the most corrupt state government in the state, Mr Bhandari said soon after leaving the service he had received charge sheet containing frivolous allegations on him which were duly replied after.

Accusing private secretary of Mr Singh Subhash Alhuwalia, ADGP S R Mardi and DIG CID D W Negi, the former police cop said they were hatching conspiracy against him after accusing to bug Mr Singh conversation with a judge held at Chandigarh on the basis of oral evidence of one police official Mukesh Gupta.

"If alleged bugging did happen of Mr Singh who was then Union Cabinet Minister, then why the judge with whom former said to be met, Chandigarh police, Himachal Bhavan staff deployed, were not being made party or witness along with the minister," the former ADGP alleged.

There are sufficient evidences existing with state vigilance which could prove that that Mr Singh government indulged in corruption but they all have been buried with the help of blue eyed police some of them had been given extension by Mr Singh, the ADGP alleged.
